Dejan Lovren is on the verge of a move to Zenit St. Petersburg, according to reports, bringing his six year spell at Liverpool to an end

End of an… error.

Dejan Lovren is on the verge of leaving Liverpool after six years at the club, according to reports.

Mohamed Bouhafsi of RMC Sport is reporting that a deal has been agreed between the two clubs that will see the Croatian defender join Zenit for a fee of €8.5, and that Lovren will sign a three-year contract with the club.

The 31-year-old joined Liverpool six years ago from Southampton but his time at Anfield has been tainted by high-profile mistakes that eventually saw him drop out of the first team for record signing Virgil Van Dijk. I mean, fair enough.

Lovren will leave Liverpool with a Premier League medal and a Champions League medal, having been a big part of the Jurgen Klopp revolution prior to Van Dijk’s arrival.
