David Moyes didn’t make many friends at Old Trafford.
Fans of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City loved him, but while the majority of Manchester United fans supported him, few were sad to see him leave after just nine months.
United’s players didn’t seem too enamoured with Moysie either, particularly those fond of oven chips.
It’s been a rocky road for the 53-year-old since leaving Everton in 2013. However, after 12-month spell in Spain with Real Socieded, Moyes is now back in the Premier League with Sunderland and ready to sign one of the few players who remembers his time at Old Trafford fondly.
According to The Daily Mail, Moyes wants to bring Adnan Januzaj to the Black Cats, potentially on a loan deal.
The 21-year-old impressed under the Scot at Old Trafford, but has since seen his progress stall. Januzaj went on loan to Borussia Dortmund last season, but returned to United after making just six appearances, and found first-team opportunities scarce.
The winger has lost his number 11 squad number to Anthony Martial, and is reportedly one the players who has been deemed surplus to requirements by the new United manager Jose Mourinho.
Maybe Moyes can get Januzaj back playing well at Sunderland, who are yet to make a signing this summer.
