David Moyes drops major hint his return to football management will be at Celtic

Ronny Delia can consider this a major wake-up call.

The Celtic coach has his team top of the Scottish Premiership, but the natives at Parkhead are still unhappy as performances have been dire for most of the campaign.

Fans are unhappy, but we’re not sure they would fancy an ex-Manchester United boss by the name of David Moyes taking over this summer.

Yes, THAT David Moyes, the one who failed at Real Sociedad and is hoping top get his nose back into football management.

The Scot was speaking to PLZ Soccer and has suggested that if Delia was to get the sack, he would fancy life back at his former club.

“Everybody knows my time at Celtic was great. I was a young player and played with great players at Celtic. Celtic’s been a great love of mine.

“Who knows, who knows, I would never say never but obviously I’ve got ambitions to win things.

“I’d want to be at a club that would give me every chance to win and be involved in the Champions League and be at the top level.”

Moyes has been out of work since being sacked by the La Liga side before Christmas after a horrible run of results.

Celtic are on course to win their domestic league title, but Moyes suggest that the club needs a major revamp, if they are to progress in Europe.

“I’m saying this with total respect but I don’t think the Celtic squad is good enough to reach the levels that they want. That’s a no-brainer if you ask me.”

The comments come after Neil Lennon was earlier sacked by Bolton, and is already the early favourite to return to Celtic Park.
