After a summer long transfer saga, it’s finally (almost) over.
David De Gea is leaving Manchester United after the club agreed a fee with Real Madrid, believed to be between €30 and €35 million.
Spanish media outlet Marca are reporting that the two clubs have finally settled on a fee, and the deal will be officially finalised before the Spanish transfer deadline at 6pm UK time on Tuesday evening.
De Gea joined United from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and made 175 appearances for the Red Devils, winning one Premier League title and was the club’s named player of the year twice.
However, the Spanish goalkeeper has made no concerted effort to hide his desire to return to his home city, and will now replace Madrid legend Iker Casillas, who was reportedly moved on to Porto earlier this summer to make room in the first-team for De Gea.
There have been reports that Kaylor Navas will be included as part of the deal for De Gea, it appears this isn’t the case, but United are in separate negotiations for the Costa Rican ‘keeper.
Earlier today, United agree a massive fee with Monaco for striker Anthony Martial.

Marca say the two deals are seperate. So Navas is not part of any De Gea deal. So deal for De Gea is agreed, still talks over Navas.
