It’s just what he does.
It’s just business as usual.
It’s just Daryl bloody Horgan.
62 minutes into Horgan’s life as a professional footaller, he’s already set the Championship alight with his first assist in his first start for Preston North End.

The former Dundalk player was thrown into the deep end for his first taste of English league football and he took to it like a deadly shark.
The obstacle: Christ Hughton’s table-topping Brighton.
The outcome: a nifty assist for the Irishman, and Preston doubling their lead.
With Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane in attendance, the Galway native gave the Deepdale crowd all the thrills and delights they could not have been expecting from a man on his first start against the most in-form side in the league but it took Horgan 53 minutes to carve an opening for Callum Robinson.
In front of 11,391 spectators, Horgan feared absolutely nothing and his long ball sent Robinson in for the hosts’ second of the game.
The weight, the precision, the vision. Look at it in all its glory.

Naturally, everyone was raving about the man. The new hero of Preston.

And it wasn’t like he stopped there. He kept it going, he kept terrorising. And even when Robinson was subbed off, Horgan went nowhere.
76' Lovely turn from Horgan before the Irishman's bending effort is fractionally wide of the target.#pnefc 2-0

Well, not until the 90th minute anyway. And there was a reason for it.
90' Second sub of the afternoon sees Horgan make way to a standing ovation, he's replaced by Spurr.#pnefc 2-0
