Is it too late to make a case for the Euros?
Darren O’Dea is still only 28 and it looks like he’s about to make a comeback to the league in which he made his name as Dundee are finishing up a deal for the former Ireland international.
O’Dea made 49 appearances for Celtic which earned him a call-up to Giovanni Trapattoni’s Ireland squad in 2012 but hasn’t been named in any of Martin O’Neill’s squads.
The defender had loan spells at Reading, Ipswich and Leeds before moving to Metalurh Donetsk in 2013. A season with Blackpool came before O’Dea moved to his current club, Mumbai City.
But BBC Sport report that O’Dea is set to have a medical at Dens Park with a view to joining up with Paul Hartley, with whom he played at Celtic Park, until the end of the season.
