The transfer window doesn’t even open until Saturday, but that doesn’t seem to have stopped Manchester United, who have seemingly kidnapped former striker Danny Welbeck for today’s trip to Stoke.
The “Arsenal” striker was listed in United’s squad list this morning, meaning that the shrewd businessmen running United have off a real coup by selling Arsenal a player for £17m and then stealing him back a few months later.
Flagrant abuse of the rules, if you ask me.
Either that, or a clerical error. I prefer the kidnapping theory though…
