Dani Alves gives a masterclass in how to get your own fans to hate you

Oh Dani...

It takes a lot of effort to make your own supporters hate you.

Scratch that, it takes putting in no effort for supporters to grow frustrated at a player. However, someone like Dani Alves, who moved from Barcelona last summer, has put in plenty of effort.

He has impressed since his transfer and was a pivotal part of the Turin side reaching the Champions League Final back in May.

Saying that, he may have just found himself in a spot of bother after his latest comments.

Alves plays alongside the 23-year-old Paulo Dybala who made waves around Europe last season and the young Argentine has seen his stock rise, being regarded as one of the best players on the planet.

As per AS, Alves said in an interview that he told Dybala that if he wants to improve he should leave Juventus.

“Dybala is a gem that will bear fruits.

“We have spoken many times and one day, I don’t remember when, I told him he had to leave Juventus to improve even more.”

If you listen closely you can hear the groans all around Turin.

Barcelona fans will hope Alves spoke with Dybala all about the charms of their city and the Camp Nou.
