The player has swapped Tolka Park for a Spanish villa.
Shelbourne have confirmed that goalkeeper new Love Island contestant Scott van der Sluis has left the club.
The 22-year-old, who is due to enter the villa this week, joined the Dublin club last summer and made three appearances for them.
He will now enter the ITV show, where he could win £50,000 in the popular reality series.
In a statement released on Thursday morning, Shelbourne confirmed the Welshman’s departure to the villa in Mallorca, announcing that he has left the club permanently.
Shels head coach Damien Duff cracked some jokes about the matter while wishing the goalkeeper the best.
“I was shocked and saddened that Scott chose a villa in Mallorca full of beautiful single women over myself, the staff and the players.
All jokes aside, I thank Scott for his services to Shelbourne FC and we all wish him the very best for the future, whatever that holds.”

The goalkeeper said:
“I’d like to thank Shelbourne FC for everything they’ve done for me, the lads, staff, fans and people around the club have been brilliant with me since coming in.
“I’ve loved my time at Shels, Football is all I’ve ever done, all I’ve ever known. So this is a new and exciting opportunity for a change-up in life.
“Shels are a great club going in the right direction and I look forward to seeing what the lads can achieve. Shels is my club now, I look forward to cheering on the lads as a fan.”
Van der Sluis joined Manchester United’s academy when he was just eight in 2009. He later moved to Liverpool’s academy in 2010, spending five seasons there before joining Swansea City.
He also represented the likes of Northwich Victoria, Runcorn, City of Liverpool and Bangor City.
