Spanish publication El Mundo have published a story detailing how Cristiano Ronaldo’s mam was stopped by police in Madrid’s Barajas airport for carrying a whole heap of cash.
The fuzz found a whopping €55,000 in Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro aka CR7’s ma’s hand luggage after conducting a search.
According to Spanish law, the maximum amount of cash a passenger travel with on their person without having to declare it is €10,000.
Since Maria Dolores was unable to prove the origin of cash, the police were left with no option but to seize €45,000 from her and leave her with the paltry, minuscule sum of €10,000.
