Ronaldo has pledged to reveal the truth.
Cristiano Ronaldo has promised to reveal the truth about his Manchester United transfer saga in a “couple of weeks.”
The forward has been looking to leave United all summer, after they failed to secure Champions League football last season, but has failed to find any potential suitors.
Ronaldo’s return to pre-season training later than everyone else has since coincided with a downturn in form and confidence at an all-time low.
United have lost both league games this season and sit bottom of the Premier League and there is now speculation that the Red Devils are willing to listen to transfer offers after concerns over how his behaviour is affecting the rest of the squad.
But the 37-year-old has pledged to reveal the truth in an interview. Ronaldo wrote on an Instagram post on Thursday: “They know the truth when they interview in a couple weeks. The media is telling lies. I have a notebook and in the last few months of the 100 news I made, only 5 were right. Imagine how it is. Stick with that tip.”

Ronaldo’s message has been met with some trepidation though. Gary Neville tweeted his views on Wednesday morning, insisting that his former teammate has to “stand up and speak now” as oppose to waiting.
He said: “Why does the greatest player of all time (in my opinion) have to wait two weeks to tell Manchester United fans the truth? Stand up now and speak. The club is in crisis and it needs leaders to lead. He’s the only one who can grab this situation by the scruff of the neck!”

United face rivals Liverpool in their next game on August 22 at Old Trafford. Whether Ronaldo will still be there or not remains to be seen.
