It’s not quite pristine white but Juventus’ new away kit has more than a little bit of a Real Madrid feel about it.
Cristiano Ronaldo will feel right at home in his new club’s away strip, which is set to be unveiled next week.
Departing from the much bolder yellow and blue combination which Juve’s players sported last season for away games in which their home kit clashed with the opposition’s, the Old Lady is set to go in a much plainer direction this term.
Reliable kit afficionados FootyHeadlines.com have revealed the first sneak peek at Juventus’ new second strip, the jersey of which is off-white.
The accompanying shorts are a darker clay colour, while the socks are said to be sesame which is a colour that we’ve never heard of before but sounds mighty fancy.
Ronaldo scored his first goal for Juventus at the weekend in a preseason friendly against a Juventus B team, giving his new supporters a taste of what they can expect from the reigning Ballon d’Or holder.
“I want to leave my mark on the history of Juventus,” Ronaldo said after his £99 million move from Real Madrid. “This is one of the best teams in the world and I’ve had my mind set on coming here for a little while. They have a great president, a great manager.”
