A very good 2014 has pushed the Portuguese player’s net worth up
We all assumed that Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t stuck for a few bob. Now, thanks to Goal.com, we know exactly how much he is worth and yes, it is a lot.
The website published their annual Rich List yesterday and for the second year running, the Real Madrid man tops the list. What is most interesting is how much his net worth has jumped since last year’s list.
He topped last year with an estimated fortune of €148million. Now, thanks to lots of lucrative bonuses in 2014 and extra sponsorship deals, he is now worth €210m. Banking €62m in one year is not bad by any stretch.
Lionel Messi also had a good year, but he has fallen behind Ronaldo on this table. Last year just €2m separated the duo, now it is €10m as Messi only has €200m in the bank.
Third is Neymar, or the Neymar Family to be precise, who were able to boost their wedge thanks to the World Cup in Brazil. The family are now worth €135m, and for the purposes of the Rich List Neymar Snr’s wealth is included.
Fourth is that man Zlatan, who is sitting on a cash pile of €105m while Wayne Rooney is the fifth and final player to break the €100m mark, with the Manchester United man having €103m to his name.
Rooney is also the first Premier League player on the list and he is €23m ahead of the next, the soon-to-be-MLS man Frank Lampard, who is 10th on the list.
