Let’s be honest, transfer deadline days – especially the mid-season ones – are very often lots of hype for absolutely no reason.
Very often, football fans up and down the land will spend hours glued in front of their TVs watching Sky Sports News in the hope that their team will announce an unexpected but much needed signing or two.
Usually, they anticipation amounts to nothing. Or Andy Carroll arriving in a helicopter.
Perfectly poking fun at how ridiculously over-hyped things can become as the clock ticks away to the deadline, came this tweet from Coventry City’s official account.
Instead of thrilling their fans with news that a player had arrived, the people responsible for the club’s Twitter page instead opted to announce the arrival of something else.
