Louis van Gaal’s excuse for tonight’s shock Europa league loss is likely to turn even more Manchester United fans against him.
The Dutchman saw his side slump to a bizarre 2-1 loss to FC Midtjylland and fans raged afterwards.
The club sent out a strong side, but were second best for most of the 90 minutes, and perhaps could, and should have lost by more only for the heroics of Sergio Romero.
After the game van Gaal was interviewed on BT, and unfortunately for him, he seemed to get his phrases mixed up, no doubt due to his extreme annoyance at the result.

It could happen to anyone, but sadly it seemed that the malapropism is the final straw for many Manchester United fans.
