Either Nottingham Forest fans really get behind their young players or they really despise their manager.
Forest goalkeeper Dimitar Evtimov was really thrown in at the deep end for his full debut at the weekend.
The 22-year-old Bulgarian shot-stopper was handed his first league start for the club against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday after Dorus de Vries was forced to pull before kick-off due to back pain.
However, the youngsters first full game turned out to be a bit of a nightmare as he made an error that cost his side the game. Estimov let a long range shot slip through his fingers, handing Wednesday a 1-0 victory that leaves Forest languishing in 17th place.
Nice strike from Forestieri for #SWFC's winner, although no doubt the 'keeper could've done better… https://t.co/I0JZzWMnK7

His mistake was singled out by manager Dougie Freedman as the sole reason the team lost the game.
The Forest faithful were much more sympathetic towards the youngster though, and through an online vote awarded him the man-of-match, which the Bulgarian taking a whopping 68% of the overall tally.
Either the supporters will be hoping the gesture boosts the keeper’s confidence ahead of their upcoming match against Preston North End on Tuesday, or it was all a dig at Freedman for hanging the inexperienced player out to dry.
