The Ireland star has added his voice to this touching effort.
Our friends at JOE have been highlighting the growing social media campaign to get Justin Bieber to record a video tribute to one of the victims of Sunday’s tragic incident in Donegal that saw five members of a Derry family lose their lives.
Teenager Jodie Lee Daniels was among the dead and those close to her are attempting to get in touch with one of her favourite pop stars, Justin Bieber, in the hope that he might record a video message to be played at her funeral.
The hashtag #jbforjodie is being used to help publicise the campaign, and it has gotten the attention of Derry native James McClean, who quickly tweeted out his own support.

It’s just the latest in a long line of big-hearted gestures by the West Brom winger, who in the past year alone has helped the homeless, purchased equipment for a child with a disability, sponsored a stricken GAA club and helped pay tribute to former Derry City legend Mark Farren.
He sometimes gets a bad rap but it’s fair to say that McClean really is one of football’s good guys.
