You won’t find Seamus Coleman getting stung by jellyfish or food poisoning in Bali like other footballers.
The Donegal defender is enjoying his summer holiday at home after his exploits at Euro 2016.
Coleman, who stepped up and led Ireland in the games against Italy and France, was stunned to receive a parade in his honour when he returned from the tournament to Killybegs. He will head back to Everton in a little over a week and get to know new boss Ronald Koeman and get ready for 2016/17.
Whether or not he remains with The Toffees remains to be seen as he has frequently been linked with a move away from Goodison Park.
Right now, all Coleman is concerned with is resting up, catching up with family and friends and getting along to support Sligo Rovers.
On Wednesday night, Coleman was Rovers’ guest of honour at The Showgrounds. He helped launch the club’s annual draw and, for good measure, bought a pile of tickets.

The 26-year-old was given another job when he was there. He acted as assistant manager to former Sligo teammate Gavin Peers for the Bit O’ Red’s 3-3 friendly draw with Portsmouth.
Coleman stuck around, after the launch and match, to chat to club members, sign autographs and pose for pictures with young fans that dream of one day emulating his achievements.
Those fans couldn’t ask for a better example of what it takes to make it as a footballer, and as a man, in this world.
Great to see.
