Chris Smalling manages to eliminate himself in shooting challenge with teammates

He had Pogba, Rashford and Mata for competition

There’s a reason why Paul Pogba takes more free kicks than Chris Smalling.

Pogba came out on top in this shooting challenge, which four Manchester United players took on this week for their chief sponsor, Chevrolet.

Smalling and Pogba were joined by Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford for the game, which saw all four United players attempt to eliminate one another by hitting a ball against cardboard faces on the goal line.

Once their face was hit, they were out of the game. Simple as that.

Unfortunately for Smalling, his accuracy left a lot to be desired as he crashed a shot against his own mug and could play no further part in the challenge.

Mata was next to fall out of contention as Pogba rattled a shot against him and young Rashford soon followed suit.

It’s thus been confirmed that Pogba is more than able to hit some cardboard targets from some thirty yards out and if that’s not worth £89 million, we don’t know what is.
