Chelsea’s boldness means they’re set to win the most unwanted Premier League award

R-E-S-P-E-C-T find out what it means to Chelsea.

We may not have much rhyme but new figures from the good folk at the Football Association Fair Play seem to show plenty of reason to the argument that Chelsea are a big shower of bullies.

The aforementioned group go to every Premier League game to assess how players and officials respond and respect those in charge of games and it does not make good reading for any Chelsea fans.

Jose Mourinho may complain that refs are against his side but it seems that his players and staff are also very much against officials.

Nobody expects professional football players to be choir boys, but Chelsea have come out on top as the worst behaved team in the Premier League, with Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers the best behaved.

When looking at teams and their behaviour, assessors mark players out of seven. You get top marks for “a positive attitude, including the acceptance of doubtful decisions without protest” and lower marks on a sliding scale.

So if you lie back and take it like a man then that’s a seven, but if you get a bulging vein in your head like Roy Keane did when he chased refs around the pitch, then you’ll get a big fat zero.

Chelsea may point to the fact that they are top of the table that actually matters in terms of winning the title but surely it puts paid to the argument by Mourinho that his side are victims of a media campaign as alleged in recent months.
