Worrying news

Kevin McGillicuddy

A very serious allegation has been made against a Chelsea striker by police in Toronto.

Police are looking to speak to Lucas Piazon, and his Brazilian teammate Andrey Da Silva Ventura, as they investigate an alleged assault on a woman that took place in the city in July.

Both men were part of the Brazilian side that competed at the Pan Am Games, and detectives are looking to speak to the footballers after a woman alleged that she met the two men at a nightclub and, after returning to her home, she was sexually assaulted.

Piazon is currently on loan from Chelsea at Reading, while Ventura is a goalkeeper with Botafogo-SP.

Piazon has scored twice for Reading this season in eight appearances.

Chelsea have yet to make any statement in response to the allegations.
