Ah Mario Melchiot, it’s been too long.
The former Chelsea and Wigan right back hasn’t even entered our consciousness over the last five years but it’s good to see he’s maintaining his sense of humour… and allegiances.
Melchiot, who appeared 130 times for Chelsea in the good ol’ pre-Abramovich days, is keeping up his healthy rivalry with Arsenal as he took the mick out of Arsene Wenger last night.
With reports that Parma have been forced to sell the contents of their trophy cabinet to pay their ever-growing list of debts, Mario saw the perfect chance to mock Arsenal’s lack of silverware in recent years when compared to his beloved Blues.
After going bankrupt Parma have resorted to selling old trophies to raise money. Very sad. But great news for Wenger #jokes #mmlove
