John Terry’s final action as a Chelsea player looked as if it would be receiving a red card and leaving his team in a hole.
The Blues skipper will get to play at Stamford Bridge, next Monday, after the club offered him the use of their pitch and facilities for a farewell match.
Terry was sent off against Sunderland on Saturday and, as it was his second red card of the season, he will be suspended for the club’s final two fixtures.

The Telegraph reports that the club have waived the usual £22,000 fee it costs to hire out the ground for a match.
As part of the package Terry has been offered, himself and his friends – many from the footballing world – will have use of the dressing rooms, dug-outs, access to stadium screens and public address system. Match officials will be supplied and there will be a barbecue for all Terry’s guests after the final whistle.

Chelsea have yet to officially confirm Terry will not be offered a new contract to play at the club next season but the 18-season club veteran already indicated, in January, that he would be leaving.
Terry will be in attendance at Stamford Bridge, on Sunday, when last year’s league champions take on the new top dogs, Leicester City.
The 35-year-old was in Denmark last night to watch the Brondby side owned by friend Jan Bech Andersen. Terry told a local reporter that he is not looking to get involved in coaching yet and has a couple more years left as a player.
