It’s not exactly a gaping wound but Erik Sviatchenko is definitely sporting the damage of Saturday afternoon’s mad celebrations.
A 0-0 draw at Kilmarnock looked nailed on for Celtic when Tom Rogic spun his marker and let fly with a piledriver of a left-footed strike that delivered a vital three points to the Hoops in this, a Scottish Premiership season that is tighter than most.
Fans joined in in the excited revelry and the mayhem was such that Sviatchenko was caught with a wayward elbow to the eye.
It split him open but the defender hasn’t been complaining too much as, in all fairness, it is just a scratch.
