Celtic played host to Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Champions League earlier this month.
The German side’s fans made a good impression in Glasgow, mingling with Celtic supporters in the hours before kick-off against Brendan Rodgers’ team. And it wasn’t just fond memories Gladbach supporters left Scotland with – a couple of Kolo Toure blunders ensured that their side also took the three points, too.
With the return to be played in Germany next week, Gladbach have decided to pay tribute to a pub they came across on their trip to Glasgow. Having spotted the sign below propped up outside one of the city’s watering holes, you might remember how we told you that they’d temporarily changed their Twitter name to ‘A German Team’ in recognition of it.

With Celtic fans preparing to head out to Mönchengladbach for next Tuesday’s match, they might want to have a look at picking up one of the special edition scarves their hosts are selling ahead of the game.
Complete with the club badge, the words ‘A German Team’ can be seen across the scarf – the perfect souvenir for this Champions League away day.

We’re not sure if they’ll be readily available in the club shop, but Celtic fans (or any UK-based Gladbach fans, for that matter) can get their hands on one by following the link in the tweet above.
And let’s face it – they beat the pants off half and half scarves.
