Brendan Rodgers will be really pleased about where Nathaniel Clyne is set to move in

Living next door to Brendan

Kevin McGillicuddy

Moving house is a very stressful thing

You have to pack stuff up, clean the place you’re leaving, then hoover the room that you never hoovered ever before.

Stress.

But then you get to the new place and you have to unpack all the shite again and you end up sleeping on a bed with a mattress protector and taking cups from a box until you run out of clean cups.

If only you had a friendly neighbour to help out and call over with some tea, some helpful advice and to remind you that moving house is a test of ‘character’.

It takes real ‘character’ to be able to pack up all your crap and move to a new city. It takes real ‘character’ to make a big money move to a new place and try and play well while still settling in.

Well, the good news for Nathaniel Clyne is that he may have found that very lucky neighbour as reports suggest he’s looking to live next door to Brendan Rodgers.

The Mirror are reporting that the new Liverpool defender is trying to move into a house in Formby that is right next door to Steven Gerrard’s old place, which is now occupied by the Liverpool boss.

The player is believed to be looking at a house worth £600,000 which pales in comparison to the palatial £3million mansion that Rodgers and his oh-so-bright teeth inhabit just up the road.

According to a friend of the player the defender likes the house, and is promising to keep the noise down.

“Nathaniel loves the property next to Brendan. But he’ll have to keep the partying to a minimum.”

Let’s hope so.
