Florentino Perez, look away now.
David De Gea has signed a new four-year contract with Manchester United which will keep the goalkeeper at Old Trafford until 2019 at the earliest.
The Spaniard was the subject of the longest-running transfer saga of the summer with Real Madrid toying with the idea of bringing De Gea to the Bernabeu.
It all fell apart on deadline day when a proposed deal between the clubs fell through as Manchester United blamed Real Madrid and vice versa.

And any hope of the Spanish giants getting De Gea on a free transfer next summer has been scuppered by the 24-year-old’s new deal.
“I am delighted to be starting this new chapter in my United career,” De Gea said. “I have always enjoyed playing with these great players in front of our fantastic fans.
“Manchester United is a special club and Old Trafford is an ideal place for me to continue to develop my career.
“I’m looking forward to putting a difficult summer behind me and concentrating on working hard to improve and help my teammates to be successful.”
De Gea hasn’t featured for United yet this season as Louis van Gaal has started Sergio Romero in goal, feeling that De Gea wasn’t focused enough on the football.
But United’s number one could be in for his first start of the season when the Red Devils host Liverpool in Saturday’s 17:30 kick off.
