If there was ever a story that exemplified the Premier League’s pulling power, it’s this.
Italian international Stephan El-Shaarawy is being pursued by Champions League contenders Roma…and Bournemouth.
The Milan frontman is poised to return to Italy after an underwhelming loan spell at Monaco, but would be behind the likes of Carlos Bacca, Luiz Adriano and Mario Balotelli in the pecking order.
And according to GianlucaDiMarzio.com, the Cherries want to pounce with a bid for the player, who is valued at around £10m.
It would be another big statement from Eddie Howe’s team, who have already secured the services of Argentine winger Juan Iturbe on loan from Roma.
I cannot tell you how much I’d enjoy seeing a Bournemouth front line of Stephan El Shaarawy and Juan Iturbe flanking Glenn Murray.
