You don’t see clubs releasing kits only to be worn in the Champions League or European competition.
Which is strange considering most clubs release three new kits a season, and usually aren’t shy about exploring new revenue streams.
Manchester United had worn exclusively in continental competition at the end of ’90s, and it brought them luck as the side won the Champions League in 1999.
Borussia Dortmund will undoubtedly be hoping for a similar effect with their new “international jersey”.
The German side have already released their home kit for the upcoming season.
But will sport this jersey, which is arguably an upgrade on their new home kit, when playing in the Champions League this season.
