Bohemians played their League of Ireland rivals Drogheda United in a behind-closed-doors friendly yesterday.
One intriguing aspect of the clash was the presence of former Premier League man Lys Mousset.
Journalist Barry Landy reported that the ex-Sheffield United man played 60 minutes and scored a goal for Bohs at the Oscar Traynor Centre.
The Frenchman also togged out for Bournemouth from 2016-2019 before moving to Sheffield United for a then-club-record fee of €10 million.
He scored nine goals in 53 games for the Blades and was sent on loan and then sold to Bochum. Following a further downturn in form, he was loaned out to French second-division side Nimes.
The 28-year-old has been capped by the French Under-21s.
According to the Independent's Dan McDonnell, the player is lacking match fitness, but has been offered to several League of Ireland clubs.
Both Filip Piszczek and James Akintunde left the Gypsies, so the club need reinforcements up front ahead of their league season which kicks off against Shamrock Rovers at the Aviva Stadium on February 16.
