The Football Association of Ireland have confirmed their intention to charge both Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers after groups of fans clashed last Friday night.
Supporters from both Dublin clubs ran on to the Dalymount Park pitch during Rovers’ 4-0 victory over their city rivals, with stewards struggling to contain the commotion.

The game restarted after Gardaí restored order but the FAI revealed via a statement on Monday that they will charge both clubs.
The statement reads: “The Football Association of Ireland will charge Bohemian FC and Shamrock Rovers following clashes between supporters at Dalymount Park last Friday night.
“The FAI today reviewed the Referee’s and Match Delegate’s reports following a number of incidents during the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division fixture.
“It was decided that formal charges are to be brought against both clubs, who have been invited to a disciplinary hearing at FAI HQ in Abbotstown, on Wednesday, April 20.
“Separately, representatives of the FAI’s Stadia and Security Committee, is to meet with representatives of Bohemian FC to discuss matters arising from Friday night’s fixture.
“The FAI utterly condemns the behaviour of a number of individuals who were involved in the disturbance at Dalymount Park.”
