One competitive game* in and Jose Mourinho and Juan Mata’s relationship is on tenterhooks.
*Community Shield game.
Manchester United’s fan favourite, their little genius, their most beloved son of Spain – after David De Gea and maybe Ander Herrera – looks set to start pushing for a transfer, according to The Times.
Despite the club stating on numerous occasions that the 28-year-old is not for sale, the best midfielder blogger at Old Trafford is said to be looking for ways out of the era of Mourinho after he suffered the most humiliating thing that has happened to the best of us on a football field.
Brought on in the 63rd minute, brought off in the 93rd minute with the manager indicating that they needed more height to deal with the Leicester onslaught in injury time. It’s a good job they had the man mountain of Henrikh Mkhitaryan waiting in the wings.
“Everton have explored the possibility of signing Juan Mata with it appearing that the Manchester United midfielder has no future at Old Trafford,” The Times report.
“He is expected to try to leave after being brought on and taken off by José Mourinho.”
And the Merseyside club certainly aren’t afraid of splashing the cash, Ashley Williams has just been handed what is believed to be a £90,000-a-week contract.
With rumours circling out of control about the Spaniard’s future, Mata has only gone and added fuel to the fire… by refusing to blog thus far with Mourinho as his manager.
