The site’s live blog has a new feature this year. As well as analysis from pundits, the BBC have brought in video gamers to give their unique take on all the gossip, rumours and done-deals during the last day of the transfer window.
According to the site, the gamers ‘will be providing insight and analysis of players involved in deals – all from a gamer’s perspective. Any gems out there that are just sensational in gamer world? The answer to your club’s missing link? We will be finding out through the course of the day.’
Alex Stewart is the only computer game expert to have contributed to the blog so far. The self-confessed Southampton fan happens to be an expert on the Football Manager computer game series and he has certainly added something a little bit different to the blog.
He not only analyses the players actually ability, he judges them on their ratings in the football simulation game. Also, to add value to his involvement, he goes into detail about the players’ virtual futures as he’s experienced them while playing football manager. The result is actually quite entertaining.
