Let this be a warning to us all.
If, for whatever reason, you’re offered a behind-the-scenes glimpse of a Real Madrid training session any time soon, for heaven’s sake leave your phone in your pocket. Especially if Keylor Navas is about.
Granted access to watch the European champions at their training ground recently, one BBC producer couldn’t resist the urge to whip out his phone and capture a few seconds of footage.
But as the video below – posted on the Twitter page for BBC World Service – explains, Real’s Costa Rican ‘keeper didn’t take too kindly to the sight of the man from the Beeb pointing his smartphone in the direction of him and his teammates.
With the ball in his possession, Navas takes aim and, with laser-guided accuracy, pings the ball in his direction. He scores a direct hit on the recording phone which is sent plummeting down to earth.

As impressive as it is that a goalkeeper has such deadly accuracy in his locker, we reckon the fact that the phone was still functioning afterwards is just as (if not more) remarkable.
You’ve been warned.
