Bayern have opened the door (slightly) for Man United to sign one of their top targets

Can LVG pull this move off?

This would be some signing.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal won the double with Bayern back in 2010 and as a result, the club’s players are now CONSTANTLY linked with a move to England because of their ‘strong working relationship’ with the Dutchman.

Arjen Robben and Thomas Muller are two examples of this while it has also been speculated that Bastian Schweinsteiger could move to Old Trafford. But Bayern have now said that they would be willing to sell their centre midfielder – if he requests a move.

“I don’t know if the story has weight, but from our point of view it’s clear – we would only consider a transfer if Bastian were to confront us with a concrete wish. That’s not the case,” Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said in quotes reported by the Manchester Evening News.

Schweinsteiger would be a great addition to the United midfield, who have been overly reliant on Michael Carrick at times. But would the German World Cup-winner actually make the switch?

He always seemed like someone who would be a Bayern lifer, who would greet the prospect of a transfer abroad with a disappointed pout.
