“I will be ready, if the team need me.”
Right now, Manchester United do not need Bastian Schweinsteiger.
If Jose Mourinho has his way, they won’t need him ever again.
The 31-year-old German international has found himself on the outside looking in, or from the stands, as Manchester United begin the Mourinho era unbeaten and with a host of new stars.

Schweinsteiger has held talks with Mourinho, who has privately made clear the case he has already presented to the public. He has his first-choice squad and the injury-prone German is not part of it. “The manager decides,” said Mourinho earlier this month. “That’s it.”
The former Bayern Munich midfielder has been banished from training with the first team squad, according to some reports, and ordered to clear out his locker from the first team dressing room.
With the Transfer Window a week away from slamming shut, Schweinsteiger has been compelled to get his side of the story out.

The most likely options for Schweinsteiger, then, are the MLS or the Chinese Super League.
Departure from Old Trafford appears imminent. The majority of United fans will miss the person and the player he once was and briefly showed signs he could be again.
