Bastian Schweinsteiger plays a key role on his return, and Manchester United fans love it

He's back...

Could this finally be a sign that the 32-year-old will feature more this season?

Manchester United are facing Wigan Athletic in the fourth round of the FA Cup at Old Trafford.

This game has already got a hell of a lot more attention than it would have originally thanks to a certain someone finding their way onto the teamsheet.

World Cup winner, Bastian Schweinsteiger, made his first start for United this season.

Any glimpses we have seen of the German this season have come in two substitute appearances for United, both in the domestic cup competitions.

The reaction to the midfielder gracing the turf for only a couple of minutes was enough to send Twitter into raptures, so you can imagine that when news filtered through of the 32-year-old’s first start, well it’s safe to say it made people’s day.

Schweinsteiger and the United team had struggled to break Wigan down. However, just before half-time, the German delivered a pinpoint cross to Marouane Fellaini, who gave United the lead with a header.

United fans were full of praise for Schweinstiger’s role in the goal
