Ever hear a transfer rumour that just makes perfect sense?
At SportsJOE, we gave a sage nod of the head this morning when we read, in The Telegraph, that Manchester United are lining up Bastian Schweinsteiger for next season.
The German is 30-years-old now but could still swan it in the Premier League for five or six seasons yet. He has worked with Louis van Gaal before, can be picked up for £14m and is exactly what the United midfield needs.
The only downsides are knee injury issues and the fact that his agent may just be name-dropping United to get his client a wage bump at the Allianz Arena.

There are other transfer rumours, though, that make no sense at all.
The Sun believe they have the scoop of the year – Barcelona looking to replace Xavi with Aaron Ramsey for £50 million.
Perhaps if this story landed last season, when Ramsey was in top form and not battling back from injury, it would have seemed slightly more credible. As it currently stands, however, it is hard to see why Barca, who are banned from signing players until January 2016, would pump £50m on a handy yet injury prone player.
Liverpool are willing to listen to offers for Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva, according to the Daily Mirror. While Brendan Rodgers’ phone may not be thrumming with shrill inquiries any time soon, we are sure that the passable midfielder could do a tidy number in Serie A or Ligue 1.
The reason for the Reds to offload Leiva? The newspaper report that James Milner is on his way as a free agent and there are only so many seats in the Anfield dressing room.
Dani Alves could yet surface in the Premier League. The 32-year-old has not signed a new Barcelona deal yet, Spanish newspaper Sport disclose, and could yet wind up in Manchester – red or blue, the Brazilian cares not.
