Bang, bang, bang: Three goals, three vines and Bolton are home and hosed

But boos are heard for James McClean

Conan Doherty

As 10 minutes go, that was a pretty decent one Bolton Wanderers just treated us to.

Neil Lennon’s Championship side have all but put Wigan to the sword this evening with a flurry of three goals from the 50th to the 60th minute.

Max Clayton got them under way with this neat finish.

Craig Davis headed home the second.

And Lee Chung-Yong hammered in a penalty for the third in a blistering spell for Neil Lennon’s outfit.

There were, however, some boos ringing out for James McClean when he came on as a second half substitute and took a first touch of the ball on the left wing.  McClean earlier issued an open letter to explain his decision not to wear a poppy.

The Derry man did get a bit of his own back on the home support though with a superb assist after a bursting run down the left flank.
