Alexandre Lacazette has signed a new contract with Lyon.
The 24-year-old striker has been perpetually linked with a move to the Premier League with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all said to be interested.
The French international was in lethal form during his side’s Ligue 1-winning campaign, netting 27 goals.
Ahead of their season opener against Lorient, the club confirmed that Lacazette penned a one-year extension to his contract, keeping him at Lyon until 2019.
Lacazette seemed delighted with his new deal, suggesting he might not be leaving any time soon.
“I am happy and proud to extend my contract.”
“People can stop talking. Now I hope they will speak of me because I’m scoring and Lyon are winning.”
