Austrian goalkeeper appears to give up as Everton score 22 goals in pre-season friendly

There was nothing friendly about this pre-season fixture.

Everton recorded a 22-0 victory on Saturday afternoon. Yeah, that's right, the Premier League side scored 22 goals without reply in a pre-season friendly against Austrian side ATV Irdning. In Marco Silva's first match as manager, Everton registered their record victory. At 19-0, the Irdning goalkeeper appeared to just give up as Vlasic tapped it into the net. So, even by pre-season friendly standards, such a result is rare. The Toffees get their Premier League campaign underway against Wolves on August 11. They probably won't have it quite as easy for that game.
