A football match in Iraq is said to be the latest target of a terrorist attack by IS.

At least 29 people have been killed in a suicide bomb attack at a football match in the Iraqi city of Iskandariya, the BBC report.

As well as the fatalities, more than 60 people were wounded when a bomber detonated explosives after the game had ended.

A local police captain said the bomb was detonated in the crowded park just as the trophy was being handed to the winning team.

It is believed that the town’s mayor is among the dead.
