Has a decent goalscoring record

Finishing fifth and having to kiss goodbye to another last 16 defeat to Bayern Munich in next season’s Champions League might well have been a bitter pill to swallow for Arsenal supporters.

But hey, nearly a couple of weeks on from the end of the Premier League season, things are already looking up for Gooners everywhere.

Having seen off Chelsea in Saturday’s FA Cup final, it’s since emerged that Arsene Wenger is on the cusp of inking a new two-year deal at the club – a move that is sure to delight the club’s fiercely loyal supporters.

And, as news of Wenger’s new deal continues to dominate the headlines, it seems the 67-year-old is also on the brink of getting a very Arsene-Wengery type signing over the line to help celebrate his extended stay in North London.

In a transfer market where it’s now impossible to pay anything less than £25m for anyone over the age of seven, Wenger appears to have sewn up a deal for Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru for just £6.8m.

Onyekuru, 19, has scored 20 goals for Belgian side KAS Eupen this season and, according to Sky Sports, is now expected to finalise his move to Arsenal.

Arsenal will compete in the Europa League next season after failing to secure a Champions League qualifying position for the first time in nearly two decades.
