Arsenal plot shock move for unsettled Chelsea starlet

So long, Solanke?

Two years after ‘once a Gunner always a Gunner’ Cesc Fabregas broke Arsenal hearts by signing for Chelsea, Arsene Wenger has revenge on his mind… sort of.

If Wednesday’s transfer rumours are to be believed Arsenal are plotting a move for Chelsea starler Dominic Solanke.

After just 17 minutes of first team football, the 18-year-old reportedly thinks he’s now worthy of a £50,000-a-week contract at Stamford Bridge (supporting Juan Mata’s refreshingly honest outlook on the money footballers receive in their wage packets).

The Sun now report that Arsenal want to capitalise on the youngster’s unrest – although they won’t be coughing up the kind of wages Solanke is said to be asking for.

The Arsenal manager will, however, assure Solanke of more first team opportunities at the Emirates than he’s received at Stamford Bridge this term.
