They’re pretty classy kits, in fairness.
Despite releasing three new kits a season, clubs struggle to come close to matching the appeal of classic jerseys, which are effortlessly simplistic, and remind fans of bygone days when their team were probably more successful than they currently are.
To promote their range of classic jerseys, Arsenal enlisted current players to sport some famous efforts.
Olivier Giroud is wearing the pick of the bunch, the jersey from the 1970/71 season, when Arsenal won the League title and FA Cup double.
Just look at it. No shirt sponsor, just clean, simple, brilliance. And look at the cannon.
Aaron Ramsey wears a jersey from the late 1980s:
And Alexis Sanchez is sporting the jersey Arsenal wore the night they beat Liverpool at Anfield to win the 1988/89 season, one of the most famous finishes to a season in English football history. It’s up for grabs now!
And it’s fair to say Gunners fans were *pretty* impressed with the jerseys on offer…

Now all they have to do is start winning the league again, eh? Then it will be *just* like old times.
