The start of every new season brings along an exciting time for football fans.
Before a ball is kicked, anything can happen. There’s a sense that this could be our year no matter how utterly shite last season was because if Leicester did it, then so can we.
But one bad result on the opening day can send you spiralling and kill your dreams in one fell swoop. But at least you can always right the wrongs of reality on Fifa, right?
We’ve been waiting for Fifa 17 to come out for a long time, ever since we got our grubby little paws on it for a test run back in May, and the release of the new gameplay trailer has only gotten us more excited.
And as the release date nears, we’re beginning to find out more and more about the new game.
We’ve already told you about the game’s new story mode, ‘The Journey’, which Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford says does a pretty good job at replicating the experience of being a young footballer.
But we all know there’s only one thing we really care about – the player ratings.
United have had their supposed ratings leaked, and they were very generous indeed.
Now it’s Arsenal’s turn, and it seems the game developers were a little stingier when it came to Arsene Wenger’s men.
It appears that the best right back in the league last season is only good for a 77 overall rating, while last January’s addition Mohammad Elneny has only impressed enough to earn a 73 rating and youngster Alex Iwobi can’t quite break into the 70s.
There is good news, however, as Petr Cech claims an overall score of 87 and Mesut Ozil tops the list at 88. New signing Granit Xhaka appears to have picked up a rating of 83.
