Alexis Sanchez, bless him, doesn’t appear to be happy with most things lately.
As the wait for a breakthrough in his contract talks goes on for Arsenal fans, his reaction to the team’s defeat at Manchester City…
… and draw at Bournemouth has been a cause for concern for many a Gooner.
Still, this week has been better for Alexis. A 4-0 win away at Swansea, coming just days after Arsenal fans revealed a new banner for the Chilean’s two beloved golden retrievers (yes, really) – surely this would be enough to put a smile on his face?
Well, apparently not.
Minutes after scoring Arsenal’s final goal at the Liberty Stadium, Arsene Wenger decided it was best to rest Sanchez, replacing him with the recently fit-again Danny Welbeck.
After reportedly looking annoyed at Wenger’s decision to bring him off early, Sanchez was pictured with his coat pulled over his face during the game’s final minutes.
And while some (including the likes of Piers Morgan) said that this was a sign of Sanchez’s winning mentality…
Winning 0-4 & @Alexis_Sanchez is THIS angry at being taken off.
Love this guy – he's a winner. #afc pic.twitter.com/1LeVXSTyq3— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) January 14, 2017
How could anyone question Sanchez attitude he's our best player and a out and out serial winner I love it

… plenty of other Arsenal fans were unimpressed.

Love Alexis to bits but he needs to grow up. We get that you want to play every minute but there's different ways to go about it.

Sanchez pissed off again about being subbed. Starting to Fuck me off. Grow up mate. 4-0. Coming off for a team mate who injured for 10 mnths

you're confusing passion with petulance, be angry you're being subbed but he was being childish, spoilt brat!!

Sanchez childish attitude tarnishing a solid 3 points away with a clean sheet I see! 😫 Man needs to let it go, respect the whole team! #afc

Love Sanchez, and I get he's a winner but at 4-0, the game is won.
Jacket over the head?
If it was another teams player, we would cane 'em.— AFC Duffy (@DuffySkinner) January 14, 2017
And while some might have taken it as another hint that his time at the club may be coming to an end, Billy here was holding out hope that a sight of the new banner at the Emirates next week would get Sanchez back onside.
