Video has emerged showing fighting between Arsenal and Manchester City fans after Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

It’s difficult to tell how the trouble begins from the footage, but fans of both clubs are seen throwing punches in the 45-second clip, despite the best efforts of other supporters to intervene.

Earlier in the afternoon, City fans had watched Sergio Agüero give them the lead in the match, only for Nacho Monreal to volley home an equaliser for Arsenal to send the game into extra time.

Seconds after Pep Guardiola had substituted Sergio Agüero, Alexis Sanchez scored what proved to be the game’s winner.

The defeat for City means Guardiola will finish his first season at The Etihad Stadium without a trophy. He will now concentrate on making sure that City finish the season inside the top four, starting with Thursday night’s derby with Manchester United. A 2-0 win at Burnley on Sunday afternoon ensured that United are just a single point behind City in the table heading into the game.

Despite Arsenal’s own hopes of a top four finish looking far from certain, their supporters can at least look forward to an FA Cup final with Chelsea.
