Anti-Liverpool tweet from parody British MP account sparks outrage on Twitter

He's lost the red vote, anyway

Ben Kiely

Liverpool fans were duped badly on Twitter tonight

Twitter exploded with outrage over an anti-Liverpool FC tweet by “Labour MP” Benjamin Hicks. The politician’s tweet was harshly critical of the club and seemingly offended every Liverpool fan in existence.

Before you take to the tweets and lambaste the British politician, it is important to point out at this stage that he does not exist. There is no Benjamin Hicks, it is a parody account.

Despite the fact that Hicks is a completely fictionalised character, it didn’t stop Liverpool fans from going to Twitter in their droves and hammering the politician and his party over his controversial comments.

Here is some of the best reaction to the offensive tweet by the made-up individual.
