At one time he had a reputation for being a hard-living, Geordie tough guy but it seems Andy Carroll has softened somewhat since moving south to West Ham.
He’s gotten engaged (he hired an events company to plan the proposal, as you do) and his fiancee Billi Mucklow has been proudly posting pictures of their new home.
We can’t quite figure out whether it’s a palace fit for a Disney princess, a Barbie doll, the girl from Legally Blonde or a 6ft 5in ponytailed striker who’s lethal in the air and has a good touch for a big man.
But they seem happy and that’s the main thing.
